A QUICK GUIDE
Run a connection check in four steps.
Open the panel, start a test, and use the readings to understand your connection.

Open the extension
Select its icon in the browser toolbar. If you do not see it, open your browser’s extensions menu.

Start the test
Press Start in the panel. It checks ping first, then measures download speed and upload speed.

Read the results
Ping is shown in milliseconds. Download and upload speeds are shown in Mbps, with the final readings displayed when each stage completes.

Put the numbers in context
Consider both download and upload speeds for the things you do online. The test reports your connection at that moment; it does not diagnose the cause of a slow result.
